~ OUR NATURAL & HOLISTIC
INGREDIENTS ~ Selected Chicken Meal ~ Skinless, boneless chicken meal. No by-products, no beaks, no feathers, etc.
Cooked at lower temperatures to allow a higher content of natural
nutrients to be effective. Selected Lamb Meal ~ Skinless, boneless lamb meal imported fresh from Brown Rice ~ Great source of protein, carbohydrates, and energy.
Not white rice commonly found as
filler in lesser quality foods. Wheat, Barley, Oats ~ Different fiber sources to allow for a balanced diet.
Foods made from grains are rich in
carbohydrates (starch and dietary fiber), protein,
vitamins, and minerals, but are low in fat and contain no cholesterol.
They also contain many ‘phyto-chemicals’
(such as anti-oxidants and phytoestrogens) which help to protect the body against disease.
Studies show that a diet rich in
whole grain foods may reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes and certain
cancers by up to 30%. Diets
which include more whole grains can also help in controlling body weight.
Barley has also been shown to
reduce cholesterol. Oats can
produce a modest reduction in blood cholesterol. Herring / Fish Meal ~ Pure source of Omega 3 fatty acids which have earned a wide
reputation for such things as preventing heart disease, improving blood flow,
and targeting ailments such as arthritis, colitis, psoriasis, and a range of
cancers. Omega 3
fatty acids may relieve inflammation associated with things like arthritis
and other skin disorders. Vitamin E (preservative) ~ Vitamin E, folate, and a range of other components in whole grains act as
antioxidants. Current
scientific evidence supports the view that oxidation may play a role in the
long term development of atherosclerosis and that antioxidants may help to
counteract this process. Flaxseed ~ Excellent source of Omega 3. The seeds and oil of the flax plant also contain substances
that promote good health. Flaxseed
and flaxseed oil are rich in alpha-linolenic acid
(ALA is part of the Omega 3 group), an essential fatty acid that appears to
be beneficial for heart disease, inflammatory bowel disease, arthritis, and a
variety of other health problems. Lecithin ~ Contains Choline & Inositol which are essential for the breakdown of fats and cholesterol.
It helps prevent arterial
congestion, helps distribute bodyweight, increases immunity to virus
infections, cleans the liver, and purifies the kidneys. Kelp Meal ~ Simply put, there are more minerals & vitamins found in
Kelp than any other plant. Yucca Schidigera ~ Comes from the Yucca plant and aids in the microflora system of the gastrointestinal tract.
This results in better assimilation
of nutrients. Yucca
has also been shown to reduce fecal odor by as much as 30%. Rosemary ~ An ancient herb that has been used since earliest times for
food and medicine. This
herb is said to act as a stimulant to both the nervous and circulatory
systems and helps to soothe the digestive system relieving indigestion and
flatulence. It also
acts as a superb tonic for the whole body, detoxifies the liver, stimulates
the brain, enhances energy, and is a deterrent to pests. Biotin ~ Converts food to energy and is required for the synthesis of
carbohydrates, proteins, and fatty acids. It is especially important for healthy fur, skin, and nails. Calcium ~ Essential for the growth and maintenance of bones and teeth.
It enables muscles including your
heart to contract properly. Garlic ~ This herb over the years has gained a reputation for targeting
ailments such as colds, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, digestive
disorders, bladder infections, as well it contains a blood clotting preventive
agent. Aniseed ~ The seeds of this delicate plant are well known to ease colic,
bloating, indigestion and in addition, they have been used to increase breast
milk production. Cinnamon ~ Has been widely used for many years as a digestive aid, as
well as prevention of infections. Thyme ~ Helps to prevent gas and stomach upset. Juniper ~ Juniper is a valuable urinary remedy for cystitis, and a useful detoxifying herb. It has a diuretic action to increase blood flow, and is
helpful in decreasing joint inflammation. Milk Thistle ~ An antioxidant that stimulates the
growth of liver cells, and protects it from toxins. Talin ~ Derived from fruits, talin is 3000 times
sweeter than sugar yet only adds 1 calorie when used in proportion in foods. Proteinate Minerals ~ There are 5 proteinate minerals in all our formulas. (Zinc, Iron, Copper, Manganese, Cobalt) These
are more commonly referred to as “chelated minerals.”
The body can usually only absorb
about 15% of the minerals it consumes, when a mineral is chelated, it is bound to an amino acid. This allows the body to absorb 100% to 300% more of the same
mineral. Therefore
when the body uses chelated minerals in its diet, it benefits from drastic amounts more
of each mineral it consumes. Zinc
specifically helps in such areas as better quality and more milk production,
added meat and muscle structure, stronger immune system, and good protein
formation for skin and coat tissue. Dried Beet Pulp ~ An excellent fiber source. Not the
kind of beets commonly found in your garden. Dried beet pulp is the part left over after the sugar has been
extracted from the plant. It is an
insoluble source and is helpful with such functions as achieving firm stools. Brewers Yeast ~ Contains high quality protein, phosphorus, chromium, and
vitamin B. Has been used for years as a quick energy boost, can regulate
blood sugar levels, help with weight loss, be an effective remedy for
constipation, skin disorders such as eczema, and has an immune building
effect. Folic Acid ~ The genetic material that controls the growth and repair of
all cells in the body. Chicken Fat ~ Excellent source of Omega 6.
